Spread the love

Well that was a punch in the gut over the weekend! The death of Ruth Bader Gisberg shocked and then saddened me. Shocked because she had faced cancer so bravely and for so long it just seemed like she would go on for a few more years. Saddened because I know what a cancer death looks like, and I’m sorry that she and her family had to endure that.

Then I realized that my country, which has undergone 6 months of Coronavirus scares and onerous restrictions, racial fighting, riots and domestic war, all during an election year, was about to face another contentious supreme court nomination process.

It’s just seems like to much to bear sometimes.

I find relief in my own home, unplugged. Maybe in my garden with the rosary, or at church. But I could use a little inspiration.
