The Feast of Pentecost is upon us this Sunday! A time to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit to the church.

In my home, I put the lacy tablecloth of Easter away and bring back the red!

Here are some of my favorite crafts for Pentecost.

Buy a clear bowl at the craft store, fill it with water and floating candles.  This is a picture of the first bowl I purchased – note the curved sides – that turned out to be a really bad idea as the heat from the candles cracked it during dinner and water went everywhere!

Then we searched holy cards and the internet to make sure each one of the apostles was accounted for, as well as Mary.

We trimmed them and glued them to the glass bowl and then went over the entire thing with Mod Podge!

The idea is that the floating candles are like the tongues of fire that hung over the apostles head at Pentecost.
