Outside My Window

#botzum trail

I am thinking

I took most of the fall off from blogging – and it was kind of nice! I spent it working on my co-op classes, homeschooling my kids, and other projects. Honestly, going from middle school cross country to high school was an even bigger commitment, so it took some getting used to.

Rosie met several of her goals for running this fall. She made friends and became a true part of the high school team. She also lettered and stayed on varsity for most of the season. She’s still working on some other things, but overall, it was a successful season!

I am thankful…

for the safe trip we had to Tennessee a few weeks ago for my niece’s wedding. We went down through West Virginia and Virginia, which was okay except for the West. Virginia Turnpike. On the way back we went through Kentucky and got to see the Ark exhibit for the first time ever.

I am going…

  • To get back into a regular blogging schedule.
  • Prepare for my General Science class and Intro to Logic.
  • Intermittent fasting four days a week, – but not on Co-op day because my stomach rumbles too much!
  • Get back to regular flute practice and
  • Working out on my elliptical at least four days a week since the walking season for cross country practice is winding down.
  • Finish my Christmas shopping!

In the kitchen…

Fajitas tonight. Meatloaf tomorrow. White Chili on Wednesday and Thursday will be leftover night!

From the Learning Rooms…

A quote to share…O happy Mary of happy merit, who deserved to be the first of mortals to see the Son of God rise from the dead. For the love of him, you despised the allurements of the world. Commend us to him, we beg you, by your assiduous prayers that we may enjoy with you, O Lady, his most happy presence. From a Matins responsory in the Dominican tradition for the feast of St Mary Magdalene.
