I Am Thinking …

A lovely girl that I used to take ballet class with all of those many years ago has passed away. The news was surprising and shocking in many ways.

I am thankful…

for the sacraments, especially of reconciliation. This girl’s death has reminded me that life is short, we are but spirits in a physical body.

As for the days of our ^[a]life, ^[b]they contain seventy years,
Or if due to strength, eighty years,
Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow;
For soon it is gone and we fly away. Psalm 90:10

I am going …

• To revitalize my prayer life simply with the rosary and Divine Office in the morning
• .Study the bible with Praying the Gospels, by Father Larry Lovasic.
• Try to take the girls to one mass during the weekday per week.
• Let go of some hurt feelings and take a deep breath!
• Renew my diet and stick to cutting carbs via Wheat belly Total Health and finding something new to make every week with Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain cookbooks.
• Try to work for my transcription company at least two times a week.
• Get more flute practice time in.
• Stay at least two weeks ahead of my General Science and Logic classes.
• Have a weekly meeting with Rosie to review all of her school work.
• Plan my blog posts.
• Help Rosie recover from an overuse running injury

This week I am going to blog on what we are doing in our curriculum, and I’m going to let Rosie have a say too!

One of my Favorite Things…

One of my new Favorite things is the partnership between the Homeschool Legal Defense and Office Max. With my little discount card, I was able to save HUNDREDS of dollars on copying charges and school supplies. I am NOT exaggerating. The money saved on copying and binding 9 copies of the now out of print General Science Workbook was phenomenal and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the discount!

That alone is worth the membership in the Homeschool Legal Defense!
