Outside My Window

I am thinking…

Well, something kicked in for Rosie yesterday because she ran a season record yesterday – an entire minute faster than the season record she set back in September, and within striking distance of her personal record set last year in the 2-mile. She was very pleased. And her team came in 2nd in the state – it was a great day. 

I am thankful…
that Rosie now knows that she can be competitive even in her new body. The girl who actually won the meet came in at a blazing 12 minutes – and she has a body build like Rosie’s. So it’s possible. 

I am pondering…
why my kids always seem to have great performances when I’m not there! Rosie took that minute off her time in Columbus. I stayed home to teach Mr. Pete’s PSR class and to attend the baptism of my grand niece. I’m going to have to ponder whether my presence is a help or a hindrance!

• Walking, exercising, weight lifting and ab work as much as possible. I’m trying to make it up to 3 1/2 miles this week. 
• PrayMoreNovenas.com but really trying to pray the rosary more this month. 
• to cut my carbs via the Wheat Belly Total Health: The Ultimate Grain-Free Health and Weight-Loss Life Plan recommendations and Intermittent Fasting.  
• Working on the “lose the mummy tummy” goal. I’ll be documenting that more in a special e-mail list. If you’d like to follow the ups and downs of that, click here. 
• More flute practice this week. I will be back to playing for church this week.  
• Prepare my labs for Wednesday for my science class. I have 2 experiments this week.
