The feast of st. Peter and Paul...celebrated with gold fish crackers.

Today the church celebrates two great early saints- St. Peter and St. Paul the Apostles.

One of my favorite things to do on this feast day is to prepare a fish dinner in remembrance of St. Peter being a fisherman and of Christ’s commandment to be fishers of men!
But on weeks when it is really busy and I don’t have time to do that, I take my apostles bowl that I used for Pentecost and fill it with goldfish crackers which is also a big crowd pleaser.
I have two suggestions for activities to do with kids today.
Shower of Roses has this wonderful lap book that she created about the papacy. She has links and details on how to make it. See also here.
Also, Bible Pathway Adventures has Pauls’ Journeys in a totally downloadable PDF workbook with maps, geography and bible study. I bought mine at the Build Your Bundle Sale a few weeks ago. On the site it’s currently only $6.00. This is educational and fun too!
