I am thinking…
that I have really watched an unusual number of movies this spring!
So far, I have seen:
I Can Only Imagine watched it with Mr. Pete, the girls, and Noah on a Tuesday discount night. It was a tear jerker and very moving. I love a movie that affirms faith!
Chappaquiddick Saw it with Mr. Pete. Ed Helms was in it. It is interesting for us to watch movies based on events that we lived through as kids.
A Quiet Place – Saw a matinee with Izzy and Rosie – super scary!
Overboard – Watched with Mr. Pete. We had hours to kill while Rosie was at her formal dance and it was too far to drive home. This was the only movie with a 7:00 showing so we didn’t have a lot of choices. It was actually pretty good and even Mr. Pete liked it. It wasn’t as good as the original but I enjoyed it.
Deadpool 2 – Izzy and Rosie went to a party 30 minutes away on Friday so we went to the movies. Again, this was the only one with a 7:00 showing. Mr. Pete really wanted to see it. It was irreverent and funny – definitely full of profanity and tons of movie references! Ryan Reynolds is great.
I am thankful…
Noah arrived safely in Italy last week. It was a 10-hour flight. But he arrived safely and has been texting and messaging me at least once a day.
I am pondering…
how much wine Noah is going to drink in Italy? He texted me that he had the best meal of his life and drank three glasses of wine! I’m wondering if the food was really that good or if the wine just made it taste better. He’s been in Assisi for a couple of days but is moving over to the campus in Rome as of yesterday.
One of my Favorite Things…
A successful season for the newest soccer player and the ref!
I am hearing…
The girls playing video games
In the kitchen…

I am wearing…
A red shirt I bought for Pentecost, black capris
I am going…
- Walking, exercising, weight lifting and ab work as much as possible. My knee was a lot better last week. I am hopeful. I started following this guy on Youtube. The very first thing he suggested actually helped!!
- add some additional novenas next year with the help of PrayMoreNovenas.com Mr. Pete started saying the Divine Office with me in the morning and we are going to keep it up even now that Lent is over.
- to cut my carbs via the Wheat Belly Total Health: The Ultimate Grain-Free Health and Weight-Loss Life Plan recommendations and Intermittent Fasting. The longer I fast, the more it seems like work to actually eat! I only do one or two meals a day now.
- Find something new to practice! I have fallen in love with this
- And Rosie wants this for her birthday

A Picture to Share…
Our last soccer game – and Izzy’s last time with the league ever.
A quote to share…
I think of the familiar image of an older mother warning younger mothers to “Enjoy this time now! It goes by too fast!” And I realize that all mothers carry a bit of grief in their hearts wherever they go, because motherhood is tied to change, and it’s change that takes place in the living blueprint of our souls: our children.
