I am thinking…
that we’re almost free falling into summer now! My performance is done, Rosie’s play is over, Noah is done with school and only a few more weeks of soccer and track! It’s gonna feel weird.

But we still have about 15 more math lessons to get through and there are a lot of outside things that need to happen, so maybe I shouldn’t get ahead of myself.

I am thankful…
that Rosie got a chance to do so many amazing things over the weekend!

At the library, she was in an art show,
Pride and Prejudice

She got to perform her piano pieces,

and then she was in a play.

Such wonderful opportunities for my little girl.

Izzy made the poster for the play and then helped as stage crew. I’m grateful she got that experience as well.

I am pondering…

Homeschooling has been around now for 30+ years. Yet there still seems to be a lot of misconceptions about homeschoolers in the general public. My adult sons run into this a lot. They’re amazed that they can function in public, that they actually read books and own cars and don’t live with their parents. I’m just wondering what’s the statute of limitations on this as more and more homeschool graduates enter adulthood?

One of my Favorite Things…
This 1970’s cocktail dress dress!  We bought it at an estate sale a few years ago for Izzy. But Izzy never really liked it that much and it fits Rosie perfectly. She totally rocked it too.

I am going…

  • Walking, exercising, weight lifting and ab work as much as possible. I made it up all 108 steps at the McKinley Monument yesterday. Going down was a challenge but not too bad.
  • add some additional novenas next year with the help of PrayMoreNovenas.com Mr. Pete started saying the Divine Office with me in the morning and we are going to keep it up even now that Lent is over.
  • to cut my carbs via the Wheat Belly Total Health: The Ultimate Grain-Free Health and Weight-Loss Life Plan recommendations and Intermittent Fasting.  The longer I fast, the more it seems like work to actually eat!  I only do one or two meals a day now.
  • Find something new to practice!
  • Get Rosie to her track practices.
  • Start researching everything I need to know before Noah goes to Rome next month.

Charlotte is done with co-op for the year!   But they didn’t get a chance to do this book last week, so I’m going to try to do it with her this week.
