Dr. Kim explains how getting rid of Obamacare won’t be as bad as people seem to think.
Trump also proposes high-risk pools for sicker individuals and allowing people to purchase insurance across state lines, increasing competition and lowering costs. Finally, he recommends allowing states to design their own programs as a testing laboratory. (Colorado and Vermont have both attempted — but did not implement — a single-payer system.) Innovation at the state level makes sense with further nationwide implementation if successful.
National Catholic Register – If abortion is only 3% of their business, why doesn’t Planned Parenthood drop it rather than lose federal funding?
This makes me wonder, if abortion is such a minuscule part (just 3 percent!!!) of what Planned Parenthood does and they are at risk of losing half a billion dollars a year over it, why wouldn’t they just stop performing abortions? Hmmmm?
So why won’t Planned Parenthood just announce today that they’re going to stop performing abortions so they can continue doing whatever it is they say they do with 97% of their time for the good of women? Why? Because we all know that the reason they exist is to kill the unborn. And the reasons the Democrats fund them is because they kill the unborn. No matter what percentage they want to say it is, it is their reason for being.
So, every time Planned Parenthood says they’re all about caring for women, just wonder why they’d close their clinics and hurt women rather than stop performing abortions.
Karma – They asked for a recount and discover that some precints in Detroit had more votes than voters!!
Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.
Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books. Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday.

From the New York Post- the legacy of Obama’s failed economy.
These geniuses remind me of Mark Twain trying to palm off the idea that “Wagner’s music is better than it sounds.” If the economy is so all-fired ducky, how come Americans just tossed out the party that’s claiming credit for it?
The truth is that the Obama years have been among America’s worst for the economy. His eight years will go down in history as the Great Recession, even though for much, even most, of the span, we weren’t technically in a recession.
It just felt that way. And no wonder. Obama’s is the only modern presidency that failed to show a single year of growth above 3 percent, a point Trump stressed during the campaign (and that was conceded even by the website Politifact).
Plus, the Obama economy failed to prosper even though the Federal Reserve had its pedal to the metal. Its quantitative easing, $2 trillion balance-sheet expansion and zero-interest-rate policy all produced zilch.
Except for pumping up Wall Street and producing what Trump calls a “false economy.” The recent declines in the unemployment rate are due less to the uptick in employed persons than to an increasing number of persons leaving the labor force.
The Profound ignorance of Communism
Among the basic facts that every American should know: At least 100 million people have died under communist governments. That ghastly number, tabulated two decades ago by The Black Book of Communism, the seminal work on the subject by Harvard University Press, is actually conservative. For instance, the Black Book recorded merely 20 million dead in the Soviet Union. Alexander Yakovlev, one of Mikhail Gorbachev’s top aides, was given the official task of trying to quantify the victims. In a 2002 book published by Yale University Press, A Century of Violence in Soviet Russia, Yakovlev estimated that Stalin alone “annihilated … sixty to seventy million people”—figures consistent with those estimated by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, among others.
Similar levels of bloodshed were wrought by China’s Mao Tse-tung, who was responsible for the deaths of 65 million, according to the Black Book, and possibly more than 70 million, according to more recent biographical studies. And then there were the killing fields of North Korea, Cambodia, Cuba, Ethiopia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and more. Really, the death generated by communist governments over the last 100 years is likely closer to 140 million.
For a sense of proportion, Hitler’s mad genocide against Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, the mentally disabled, the elderly, the handicapped, and others he deemed “misfits,” was approximately 10 million (six million of them Jews). The combined dead from World Wars I and II—the most destructive conflicts in human history—was 50-60 million. Communism’s body count surpasses both world wars combined and probably doubled.
And yet, Americans’ knowledge of this vast sea of destruction is atrocious, which brings me back to the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.
