1. I have had the weirdest headache for the last two weeks – so sorry for the slow blogging! And no, it wasn’t election related. It started when I would cough and I would notice that the top of my head felt like it was going to fly off. Then I bent over to take my crock pot out of the lowest shelf in the fridge and I felt that same pain again. My head would hurt for a few minutes and then go away although there would be residual pain in my face.
So of course, I Googled it and discovered that any change in your typical headaches after age 50 should be reported to your doctor. It also said that cough headaches were unusual.
At that point, I was just sure that I had a brain tumor!
Now, dear reader, you may think that I am silly to be chasing zebras when I probably just have a domestic horse type problem – and I probably am, except that my mother actually DID have a brain tumor 18 years ago and it required a craniotomy and months of rehab to recover from it.
So I shared my dire suspicions with my sister – after all, she lived through the whole brain tumor thing with me all those years ago, and the first words out of her mouth were, “I get that. You probably have a sinus infection!” She just really reassured me. So last night I took a Zicam and went to bed, and today I think this headache of mine might actually be leaving.
2. This is what is so great about having a sister – she is always there to comfort and advise, cajole and scold, but mostly to commiserate with. And today is her birthday!! Happy Birthday Sis!
3. So with all the whining and moaning about the election from the left, I started to wonder if I did the same thing 8 years ago. Oh sure, I complained and strongly condemned a lot of what the Obama administration did, but my first reaction was not one of protest and “He’s not My President.” Here is my first post after the election back in 2008.
4. Here are some things that are worth mentioning in the comments I’ve been reading this week.

“Situational awareness.” Seems to me that’s profiling – and isn’t that supposed to be bad?
Don’t get me wrong – I call it common sense. A couple of weeks ago we had a group of young male teens congregating outside a house down the street. I didn’t know them, I didn’t know why they were there. They were a little loud but they weren’t hurting anything. Still, I did not send my 17-year-old daughter out to rake the leaves or walk the dog. Call it situational awareness or profiling, it just seemed like avoiding trouble to me.
But it’s just funny that the left is now relabeling it so that they can practice it without recrimination.
5. I’m just posting these two videos in one post because I need to be able to refer folks here when they ask, “Why would anyone vote for Trump?” Well, here’s why as explained by two liberal leftists, Michael Moore and Jonathan Pie.

6. I’m also getting pretty tired of reading these kinds of posts. Most of them start out with,
“I know you’re not a racist or misogynist, and I know we you are really a loving caring person. But you have to own the fact that you voted for a (insert ad hominem attacks of choice here) as president of the United States.”
What is bothersome is that they go on this diatribe against Trump without once mentioning the flaws in the other candidate! This wasn’t a contest between Lucifer and Mother Theresa. Hillary Clinton was highly flawed – she was beholding to many corporations, she purposely put national security in jeopardy, and she was unquestionably pro-choice.
The left’s inability to empathize with the other side is stunning, and their self-righteousness is nauseating.
