Noah Senior Pictures 059

I have always taken my own senior pictures. Maybe that’s a little over confident on my part, but I just couldn’t stand the idea of paying hundreds of dollars for pictures x 6 kids when I could just have a nice camera and take thousands of pictures for a fraction of the cost.

So, last week I put Noah in his new suit, and took him and the girls to a local Nature Realm and took some senior pictures.  Here are two of my favorites!

I am thinking…

According to things I’m reading on line, it is going to be tough to make Noah eligible for the NCAA. One mother wrote that her son’s college coach told her that his homeschooled athletes are RARELY eligible the first semester of college. I find that strangely discouraging and challenging all at the same time.

I am thankful…
that Rosie won fourth place in the 1600 meter in the Middle School Track Championship for our Diocese with a PR and time of 6:37:73.  That means my 10-year-old can run a mile in about 6 and a half minutes. To give that perspective – I can walk a mile in 15 minutes on a good day. She went on to run the 800 and set another PR of 3:07:74 and got seventh place.

I am also thankful that I no longer have to drive 30 minutes away for track practices three times a week!

In the kitchen…

baked pork chops, smashed potatoes and salad.

I am wearing…
Yesterday for Pentecost I wore this -and I think that’s hilarious because I bought this dress on sale for Valentine’s day, thinking I wouldn’t get a lot of wear out of it until next winter. I have since worn it twice this spring.

I am reading…

This book is going to be on my required reading list for the Health Class I am designing for Izzy.

I am pondering...

I am against men in women’s locker rooms and bathrooms. And it’s not about hate. It’s about safety. Ponder this.

I am going…
