Outside my window…
april 2016 026

I am thinking…
About my kid leaving for Manipuelation in Idylewood, CA tomorrow. It’s a quick trip out and a quick trip back, so although he’s trying to sell it to me as “a great opportunity to see the country” it’s really an all-you-can-see-from-the-highway kind of deal. They’re renting a car so I told them to get the extra insurance on it. I guess if they have trouble along the way, it should be easily handled if they are renting from a national company like Alamo.

I am thankful…
and I keep reminding myself that I have lots of reasons to be.

In the kitchen…

Baked chicken thighs with salsa, with sauteed cauliflower in butter and garlic powder and a side salad.

I am wearing…
Black pants, gray T-shirt and two hooded sweatshirts because it is cold!

I am reading…

I am pondering...
the end of the school year – how can you look forward and dread something so much at the same time.

I am going…

From the Learning Rooms…

In the homestretch now!  Only two more weeks of chemistry with Co-op and World History will be over first week of May – (Although the AP test is the middle of May!)

A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves – a special kind of double.

Speaking of sisters, in cleaning out the home of Pete’s late sister, his siblings came upon this photo of us from 1979 and sent it to us.  This was taken in front of the pear tree on the farm I grew up on.  And those pants that Mr. Pete is wearing were my favorite. I loved how they started at his feet a dark green and gradually lightened until they hit is waistline – I thought they made him look extra long and lean.  It was the disco era after all!
