I am thinking…
the evil sign is dead.

and just in time too – it went dark just before the Ohio primary on Tuesday so we didn’t have to read any of their hateful rhetoric at all!

There is some work going on in that building and I talked to one of the workers.  They say that the owner is getting it ready to sell. I can only guess that the building either went back to the main Church of Christ leadership, or some bank owns it. Nonetheless, the worker I talked to thought it might be sold to a charter school – and I think that would be perfect!

I am thankful…
small blessings!

In the kitchen…
A turkey breast in the oven now.  I am going to cook it down to make into soup to take over to a family in need of some good bone broth and veggies to get healthy!

I am wearing…
Grey pants, Mr. Pete’s gray T-shirt and a purple hoodie!

I am pondering...
perhaps trying some crafts with Miss C this week for Easter.  She really enjoys paint and play dough!

I am going…

  • to walk or work out every day with Pfilates .
  • to cut my carbs via the Wheat Belly Total Health: The Ultimate Grain-Free Health and Weight-Loss Life Plan  recommendations.
  • get deep into my Lenten sacrifices – and wonder if  I can even deepen them after Lent
  • Double down with prayer efforts this week – ringing the last drop out of Lent during Holy Week.
  • Some spiritual reading too!  Especially some books that belonged to my mother.
  • Daily mass hopefully.

A quote to share…

When I go to confession I’m holy  – well maybe not holy, but a lot less sinny!

Because Noah turns 18 on Good Friday, we decided to celebrate his birthday and Mr. Pete’s birthday together on Saturday.  Noah just wanted family and so that’s what we did.  And his loving sister made his cake – no clue why she made it pink, but she made actual butter cream icing from scratch and it was delicious!

  1. Even pink the birthday cake is beautiful. I'm going on 11 years of schooling at home and am happy to see a veteran of 20 years! Happy birthday to the boys! I hope you have a simply wonderful week.
