Outside my window…

november 2015 216

With the prolonged warm weather, I still have some flowers blooming in my garden boxes!

I am thinking…
about our concert last evening and how blessed I am to be able to continue to be able to contribute musically at this caliber with other gifted musicians.

I am thankful…
That Mr. Pete is feeling much better. He is even singing again.

In the kitchen…
Chili!   and probably baked chicken and meatloaf next week.

I am wearing…
The dress in the picture below

I am reading…

I am pondering...

The grace under pressure of Carly Fiorina who handled the liberals on The View with grace and humor. Well done Ma’am.

And I don’t get – is The View supposed to be current events show or a comedy show?  Joy Behar seems to think it’s comedy – and says as much in part 2.

I am going…

  • to walk or work out every day with Pfilates.  Trying to get back some weight work out as well.
  • to see Noah’s cross country banquet
  • to watch Noah and Rosie run in the parish 5K next week.

We were sick as dogs last week so only the bare minimum got done. That said, two economics papers were completed, a world history essay was turned in, and everyone did math – so there’s that!

One of my favorite things…

Little Miss C’s mommy threw her an Alice in Wonderland themed 2nd birthday party and I think she did a beautiful job!

A quote to share…
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.”
Hebrews 11:1 – a verse that little Evie Gerber found special.

Black dress from 1988
I was looking through my closet for something to wear to church and for the concert yesterday when I came upon this frock.  This is a sweater dress circa 1988. I bought it when I was in the very earliest stages of my very first pregnancy because all of my other clothing was very form fitting and with  no where for my expanding baby belly to grow.  It is a much loved piece, although I haven’t worn it in a long time. So I cut out the shoulder pads and put it on over the old sausage slip and it looked and felt just fine!

FYI on the sausage slip – it goes on much easier now. I think it’s because I am smaller. My teenager says it’s because the elastic fibers are breaking down.

Teenagers – keeping it real.
