I am thinking…
I didn’t mean to take a full week off from blogging – it just sort of happened and frankly, it felt pretty good to have time to do some other things. As I also had no transcribing to do, I got my taxes done and watched all of the last season of Downton Abbey that I missed.

I am thankful…
that it is finally becoming spring!

I am Pondering…
Lots of things – like why does poor Noah keep having problems with his knees whenever track season rolls around? Why is Calvin moving to North Carolina, and why is this time of year always so difficult in homeschooling?

I’m also pondering the ways Mama took care of us whenever we were sick, how she graciously accepted the many moves my sister and I made when we were young adults, and how she taught regular school every year for 30 years.  I am always wondering, what would Mama do?

In the kitchen…

Sweet potatoes with left over chicken chunked up with spinach, peanut butter, cashews and a few other things I can’t remember. It was really a good dinner for left overs!

I am wearing…
Black pants and matching fleece.

I am going…

  • to walk or work out every day but Thursday.
  • start my spring cleaning.

One of my favorite things…

How we put Charlotte down for a nap during our homeschool day.

I am hoping to …

  • Get lots of flute practice done.
  • Organizing my office and the classroom.
  • Prepare for my tax meeting.

I am looking forward to...

  • A relaxing Sunday!
  • Working on izzy’s Etsy shop.
I’m reading…

A quote to share…

But as I cried, my heart was being transformed. It was getting smaller and smaller in my chest and hardening up like a rock. The smaller and harder my heart got, the less I cried, until finally I stopped completely. By the time I was finished, my heart was a sharp, black stone that was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. It was so hard nobody could break it and so sharp it would hurt anybody who touched it. I stayed there, staring ahead at nothing, with just about nothing left inside of me, for quite a bit.

  1. Very cute Save the Date card!
You might look into http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iliotibial_band_syndrome for Noah. Very common for long distance running. My son's group got supports that go right under the knee for their time. Lots of ice even if it doesn't hurt. If they have an ice bath at the high school- even better. Every kid who ran varsity for Dh when James was a Junior got a scholarship for college!
