I am thinking…
about the things we learned on Ancestry. Com last night.  I had heard that you could check out records from Ireland for free on St. Patrick’s day, and since Mr. Pete’s mother’s maiden name was “McGuirk” I thought I’d like to dive in and see what I could discover.  We found out that Mr. Pete is only four generations from his Irish roots, that his grandfather worked as a farmer, and a carpenter and died at age 28.  One his great grandmother’s was actually German!  So Mr. Pete’s claim to be 1/2 French and 1/2 Irish will have to be altered to allow for a little German ancestry as well!  We also found that his great x3 grandfather was a private in the Ohio company B during the civil war!  I swear I could spend all day just researching this stuff!

I am thankful…
for the ability to discover our roots and pass them on to our own children.

In the kitchen…
Paleo meatloaf tonight

I am wearing…
Gray yoga pants, brown shirt and black cover up.

I am creating…
soccer schedules for the upcoming soccer season.

I am going…

  • to get my medical transcription done
  • be diligent in my prayer time.
  • practice my flute -two concerts coming up.
  • Write some blog posts.
  • Get in four workouts. I did this yesterday and I am now totally in love with it!   I have all the choreography nailed and have even added some of my own choreography to it.  It was kind of tough to master, but now that I have it I want to do it all the time – although of course I know I have to vary my workouts.

Here’s a sample!

     Busy Times

Since Izzy is supposed to be laying with her foot elevated, she has been reading along with books on CD. She finished Tom Sawyer last week and is doing Huck Finn this week.  I also give her a little bit of Algebra.  I don’t know if she will go to choir this week or not.  We’ll see.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

    • Lead our homeschool support group meeting.
    • Get soccer schedules out.
    • Prepare for two concerts.
    • Drive kids to track practice, piano lessons and art class.
