If you were wondering what this new sign means on Facebook…

I started to see this pop up among my facebook friends today and I didn’t know what the heck it meant!  So I did a quick Google search and found this. Basically it’s a “pro-same sex union sign” since the Supreme Court is taking up the challenge to Proposition 8 today.

Most of the friends of mine that have this sign – I kind of expected to see with this sign.  But then there were others that I went to school with years and years ago that I had absolutely no idea about how they fell on the political spectrum – until they posted this.

Actually, I see it as a good thing.  I have a special list on face book where I place my more left-of-center friends so that if I post something that I think will be offensive or controversial to them, I can spare them from having to read it!! and on the other hand if I have something that I think will be of particular interest to them, I can make sure they see it!   So in this instance, it helped me to tidy up my lists a little more, and I always see that as a good thing. I want to do the heavy lifting on tough issues on the blog- not on facebook!
