Spread the love

My wonderful kids pooled their money this past Christmas and bought me a Kindle Fire- which I absolutely love and use probably more than my computer right now.

As I was looking at Apps I found one that went with my Mozy backup service.

I have used Mozy for my backup service since 2008. I blogged about it once herehere and here.  I like them so much that I became an affiliate.   Mozy backs up all my files once a day and I can adjust the number of files I want them to back up.  The one time I had a computer crash I was able to get back everything on a new computer within a day or two thanks to Mozy.  And I was very proud to be a Mozy user, when that other big backup company decided they were against free speech and pulled their advertising from one of my favorite shows!

Anyway- Mozy has a new service called Mozy Stash.

Meet Stash

Stash is a file synchronization feature that provides Mozy users a simple way to keep their most active data up to date across each of the computers they regularly use and complements the Mozy online backup feature. As soon as you place a file in your local Stash folder it quickly becomes available online. No need to wait for a backup or hit an upload button.

What that meant for me was that I could take some of the e-books I’ve been meaning to read forever (but haven’t because I don’t want to be glued to my computer ALL the time) and put them in my Mozy Stash file.  Then with the Mozy Stash App on my Kindle, I am able to open those files and read them in the car when I’m waiting for the kids to finish piano lessons, or while Noah is doing his physical therapy, or if I’m waiting for a kid to finish a math lesson.  I also had some inspirational Catholic devotionals that I downloaded that I put into Stash and could read on my Kindle during Adoration.  It’s been very helpful!

Works for Me!
