Outside my window…

This weekend at the cross country championships.

I am thinking…
That this is the last year I will have kids in two different divisions. Next year Izzy will be division 1 for cross country as well.  It seems like only a while ago I had kids in all three divisions!  The time for opening the van door and having lots of kids tumble out for practice is nearly over too.  I feel a little sad about that. 

I am thankful …
for the opportunities my children have had though and pray that they continue so that the kids can be prepared for wherever they are called. Many times those opportunities just seem to find us- like bell choir and all of the musical opportunities at church.

From the learning rooms…
Sam will be studying Pre-Calc now. He will be taking the Analyzing literature CLEP test hopefully by the end of next week or the next.  Gabe needs to put more time in his math program ALEKS and start Saxon Algebra 1/2 . Noah is plugging along in Saxon 67 and Izzy in 54.  Gabe and Noah are plugging away at reading Robinson Cruso .  It was a little difficult for them. They are also enjoying Rosetta Stone Latin.   We move on to the pre-Civil war years in History and more DNA in science.

From the kitchen…
I made this delicious sandwhich last week!  The family loved it.  Since then I have been exploring the Campbell’s Kitchen site a bit more and came upon their budget recipes – take a look!

black pants and black shirt.

I am remembering:
Mama – always.  Raphael’s 8th birthday is coming up too. 

I am creating…
All Saints Day costumes this week with Izzy. She wants to go as St. Veronica.

I am going…
try to get at least three workouts in this week.  It’s so hard to find time to exercise when I’m homeschooling.  It was so much easier over the summer!
