Outside my window…

Beautiful Labor Day weather – not to hot, not too cold, a hint of fall that is coming, but not too soon! Perfect cross country weather!

I am thinking…
about how much I have to accomplish this year.  I have to start Rosie in kindergarten and finish Sam’s last year of high school!  It is challenging and scary yet thrilling.

I am thankful …
for all of the time that I have had with my children because of homeschooling. They have been such a joy and a blessing to me.  And I would add that particularly the high school years with Sam have been wonderful.

From the learning rooms…
Starting in small doses. Sam must finish his Rosetta Stone Spanish and Algebra 2. Gabe needs to put more time in his math program ALEKS and start Saxon Algebra 1/2 . I am starting Training Wheels Kindergarten with Rosie.  Reading and writing with Izzy and Gabe and Noah will start reading
Robinson Cruso as well as Rosetta Stone Latin.

From the kitchen…
I have a big feast planned for the Feast of the Blessed Mother’s Nativity!  But before that we are going up to the lake later today to feast on chicken, potato salad and fruit salad – the last picnic of the summer.

I am wearing…
my night gown!!! 

I am creating…
some nicer living spaces.  I finally got Mr. Pete to put the trim up in Sam’s room and we painted the basement a nice plum color.  I have enough pain to do the hallway or the bathroom.  I’d like to have a graduation party for Sam this coming spring and if we opt to have it at home, I need to get the house fixed up!

I am going…
to continue exercising.  Lots of Cardio and ab work.  I hurt my shoulder though.  Have no idea how.  I just went to do something with it and OWW!!! 
I have been downloading the Divine Office onto my MP3 player.  I consider myself almost a pro at getting it onto my MP3 player!
I am determinated to get exercise and prayer into every day – except Thursday.  Then it will have to be short prayer  and no workout because I am just slammed with work and activities on Thursday!

I am reading…
A Simple Guide to the Spiritual Life which is a good read by the way.

I am hoping…
to get all the kids to their assigned soccer games next week and all the other activities that have started.

I am hearing…
the humm of the air conditioner. 

Around the house…
House is in pretty good shape!  Even got the classroom cleaned.  Never touched the last pile of Mom’s stuff – I guess I’m just not ready to go through it yet.
