Spread the love

Outside my window
Snowy!

I am thinking…
today  would have been my mother’s 82 birthday. The sting of her death isn’t as sharp as it was months ago, but it is still hard at times.  Today the kids and I remembered her especially in our prayers.  Tomorrow this blog will have a letter from my grandmother to my mother, her daughter. She talks about how much she missed her and that even though she was far away, Grandma baked an angel food cake with cherry frosting and they ate it to celebrate without her.  So I have done this same thing 50 years later. Tonight we will have angel food cake with cherry frosting – although I’m betting Grandma’s came from scratch.  I used a mix for mine.

I am thankful …
that I had my own family.

From the learning rooms
We continue with The Screwtape Letters and A Philadelphia Catholic in King James’s Court with Gabe in preparation for confirmation. I am moving Gabe to the end of General Science so that he can study anatomy with us. I added the assignment of reading through the Bravewriter Help for High School Course and we are going to continue with the Restoration in American History.  I haven’t decided what to have for mofie day yet.

From the kitchen…
This is in the crockpot – it smells great!

I am wearing…

Black pants, oversized shirt, black hoodie

I am creating…
some ideas for summer dresses I’d like to make for the girls this summer.

I am going…
to try The Firm: Cardio Sculpt Blaster.  I tried it for the first time yesterday and I kept tripping over my Fanny Lifter – how embarrassing!  So I’m going to try it with my regular step which has a larger area an is a little more stable.  It was a good work out though other than that.

I am reading…

Going Rogue: An American Life

I am hoping…
to mass on Saturday for my mom.  Mr. Pete and I are also giving our annual Pre-Cana talk. With a little bit of luck this year we are going to record it and put it on Youtube so that ya’ll can watch it if you want to.

I am hearing…
the math tutor say something to Sam about imaginary numbers.  I really hated those in high school.

Around the house…

have to get Mr. Pete home so we can have dinner and then the Festival of Praise people from church can over and practice music!

A few plans for the rest of the week:
finish cleaning my office, hit my goal for my typing and getting a lot of laundry done! – looks alot like last week’s goals!

A picture I am sharing:
