Explore, Plan, ACT – achievement tests homeschoolers should be aware of

Most homeschoolers have heard of the ACT test, but many might not be aware that there are two other tests available to 8th graders through high school known as Explore and Plan. Altogether the testing program is known as Explore, Plan and ACT!

Sam took the Explore test when he was in 8th grade and I had him take the Plan test last year and this year. These tests were administered by our homeschool support group but the results will be sent directly to our homes.

The scores we received in the past gave me a clear indication of where Sam stood in English, Reading, Math and Science. It also gives us an indication of how he stands in regard to college readiness as well as ways to improve his scores. This might be a good option for homeschoolers in preparation for the big ACT test in the 11th and 12 grades.
