Spread the love

I first discovered Find a Grave when I Googled some famous people and had it come up in one of the searches. For example I was a HUGE Karen Carpenter fan back in the day. When I Googled for information about her, information about her grave came back from the Find A Grave Site.

This site provides information and pictures of the final resting places of many celebrities and famous people. But you can also set up your own information for deceased friends and family. This is one I made for my baby Raphael. I hope to make some more for my grandparents when I have some time.

Recently I became a volunteer photographer for Find a Grave. People from far away can request photos of their loved ones and family members. Requests for photos in cemeteries near me come to my e-mail and I can decide whether or not I want to accept them. So far I’ve done one (although I’ve tried to do more – a lot depends on the ability to get to the cemetery offices which I have found usually close around 3 or 4 in the afternoon around here). It’s a nice service to provide and since my daughter shares my enthusiasm for photography and cemeteries, it might be a nice activity for us to share.
