1. I got two long walks in this week per the Good Houskeeping Plan. If found that if I go to a park with a playground, I can kill two birds with one stone. The big kids and Rosie can play, and I can walk. The two parks I chose also let me keep an eye on them from a distance while I walked. Worked out great for all of us!

2. People seem to like Mom’s CaringBridge Site! Can’t wait to show it to her! I’d kind of like to take her picture so we have sort of “before and after” but I’m not sure if she will let me. My hope is that she’ll look back in a few months and see that she has made much progress!

3. I have two brides and weddings coming up and both are very low key, no fuss and no muss – so I probably won’t get paid for them. Which is fine, except that I was hoping to use that money to pay off…

4. the sore throats from last August. Last August Izzy and Gabe both had sore throats. Their pediatrician couldn’t work them in so I took them to see our primary care doctor. It was great that she could see them, but her bill, after insurance approval came to $200. The lab work came to another $200. That’s right… $400 dollars to treat two sore throats. I will NEVER take the kids there again.

5. I was looking for New Mexico news as the case of my father’s estate and dealings with my EFC take a new turn. I came upon the heartbreaking story of Baby Brianna. It’s a heartbreaking story of the abuse and neglect of 5-month-old Brianna. If you click on the link be warned that the story and the photos are pretty graphic. To add insult to injury, the family of the baby have her buried in an unmarked grave and refuse to let anyone pay tribute to her there. People do anyway of course. Brianna’s spirit calls out to be remembered.

6. Speaking of EFC, she had the nerve to threaten us with a law suit if she doesn’t get the piece of property she wants. To which we essentially said, “bring it.” Seems to me that someone who lies and cheats for a living shouldn’t put themselves in the position of having their records and bank statements subpoenaed, but that’s just me!

7. I want to give a shout out to Jean at Catholic Fire. When I heard that Homeland Security considers “single issue” conservatives to be “extremists” and possible threats to national security, her blog popped into my head. Jean I applaud you and your stand on life issues! Maybe I can get on that right wing conservative extremist list by association. You go girl!
