    • But Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire also says President Barack Obama‘s massive budget proposal will bankrupt the country.
Gregg says he has no regrets in withdrawing his nomination to become commerce secretary. He pulled out after deciding he could not fully back the administration’s economic policies.
The senator said Obama’s spending plan in the midst of a prolonged recession would leave the next generation with a country too expensive to live in.
  • Catholic Notre Dame University to Give Obama Honorary Degree – Catholic OnlineI hope that every pro-life Catholic, especially graduates of Notre Dame University, complain loudly about this. President Obama is not only pro-abortion, he is also willing to allow babies who are born alive after a failed abortion, to die.

How many times do Catholics have to take it on the chin when bishops allow crap like this to happen? The bishop of this diocese must demand that this not happen! and it’s time the faithful hold his feet to the fire on this as well. tags: cATHOLIC, OBAMA, ABORTION

    • NOTRE DAME, Indiana (LifeSiteNews.com) – White House Secretary Robert Gibbs stated today that Obama will give the commencement address at Notre Dame University this year. The school confirmed the announcement, stating on its website that Obama will also receive an honorary doctor of laws degree at the University’s 164th University Commencement Ceremony at 2 p.m. May 17 in the Joyce Center on campus.
    • In 2004, the United States of Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) approved a policy statement called “Catholics in Political Life,” which says, with reference to pro-abortion politicians, “They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.”
