Spread the love

Outside my window..
Can’t tell – we have a foggy mist today!

I am thinking…
About Amy Welborn and her family today and praying for them. I’m also wondering if it is better to die quickly, or slowly? I’ve had loved ones do both and they each have their pros and cons. I think I myself would prefer to go quickly so that I don’t fight it, but on the other hand that requires a constant state of readiness. I’ve been thinking about this a lot over the past week.

I am thankful for…my mom, and all that she did to raise me and my sister. As the years go by I appreciate all of that more and more.

From the learning rooms…CLEP for Sam, and a lot of emphasis on writing this week with Noah and Gabe. I gotta get Sam through the Civil War this week!  Sam and I worked a lot on the pre-Jacksonian era last week.  I wish he would buckle down and JUST STUDY THIS STUFF SO HE COULD TAKE THE TEST AND WE COULD MOVE ON! The other kids and I are starting Minn of the Mississippi and learning about the great state of Minnesota. Also Gabe and Noah will be starting Bud, Not Buddy.

From the kitchen… A delicious ham and noodle recipe that caught Mr. Pete’s eye! Someone from church gave us a frozen ham over the weekend!

I am wearing…blue knit pants and a white T-shirt and a big old heart oversized shirt that Mr. Pete gave me last Valentine’s day.

I am creating…a clean laundry room!

I am going… to really work on that exercise program this week. I was inspired by the witness of this high school principal.  The lady had to be at work every day by 6 a.m. and didn’t get out until 5 and then usually had to go to a school program at night – but she managed to walk an hour a day!

Yesterday I spoke to the RCIA group and it was received warmly I think. One of the ladies afterwards was very sweet and sincere commenting about how much I seem to really love my children, and then she gestured towards my abdomen and said, “and this will be what number?”

Awkward.

Although on the one hand, just months before my 50th birthday I suppose its nice that people think I can still be expecting!  I don’t know – I’m sure there is some psychological stuff about the end of my childbearing years that is keeping me from getting as serious about working out as I was when I had my first two kids!
I managed to get in two workouts last week with The Firm: Total Sculpt Plus Abs

I am reading…Moby-Dick
Moby Dick with Sam and and Stuart Little
Stuart Little with the Gabe and Noah. We will also start Minn of the Mississippi

I am hoping…that congress does NOT pass this spending package.  It’s stupid. It won’t help and it mght possibly make things worse.

I am hearing…my normal low ear buzz. Noah is getting his own breakfast.

Around the house…Cleaning up the classroom – again.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I’m not making plans this week. I’m just going to try to get through it!
