    • With the world economy in turmoil, holidays and chill winds upon us, and no invitations to holiday soirees in the mailbox, I ask myself: What would Ma and Pa and their daughters, Laura, Mary, Carrie and Grace – you know, the intrepid Ingalls family of the Little House books and television series – do to cheer everyone up?
They would host a party, serving only sweet potatoes from their Midwestern prairie root cellar if that was all they had.
The Ingallses come to mind this holiday season because, as a child, I marveled at how they met hard times with resignation and resourcefulness.

    • Whether you’re an investor or a would-be borrower looking for a sign of better days to come, pay attention to the so-called overnight London Interbank offered rate. Libor is a rate banks charge one another. The lower it is, the greater the likelihood that banks are willing to lend freely – and the sooner this credit crisis may be over.
  • Digg – Election Bias in the Media ProvenObama was elected because his average supporters were clueless, the media was biased, and he spent money on his campaign like there was no tomorrow!

Interestingly, the news about the economy is going to be bleak and dismal – until January 20 when the sun will shine again at least according to the liberal press. Watch and see if their spin doesn’t go that way.tags: obama

    • This shows me that in general, Obama voters are much less informed than McCain voters. More Obama voters made their voting decision without the benefit of having an understanding of issues. More Obama voters didn’t make an effort to get facts to help them make a voting decision.

I’m convinced that we should require a test before someone can vote. I don’t care if someone “cancels out my vote” by voting for the opposite candidate if they make an informed decision. That’s what this country is all about
