Outside my Window…it is now completely dark at 8:18 – the days are so much shorter now, but it seems as if summer is still lingering.

I am thinking…about what a scary time we are living in and how my grandparents and in-laws must be rolling in their graves!  My mother-in-law in particular was so determined never to suffer through another depression that every week she cleaned out plastic milk containers and stored dried beans in them.  When we finally had to move her from her home we found enough stored dried beans to feed many families for months! And how sad that the very thing they wanted us, there children, never to see again may be right around the corner.

From the learning rooms…I have Sam on a solid schedule now for his high school work.  We are goign to concentrate on history until February, and then Biology throughout the school year and into the early summer.

I am thankful for…for my Catholic faith- no matter what happens, that will sustain us.

From the kitchen… chicken pasta salad- made by Mr. Pete.

I am wearing… black capris, and a red hoodie that someone from church gave me.  It is very nice for these coolish days!

I am reading…Henry Huggins with Gabe and Noah,
The Scarlet Letter with Sam, Johnny Tremain with Gabe, Noah and Izzy as well as Saint Paul the Apostle: The Story of the Apostle to the Gentiles for our religion class.

For me though, I am reading
The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media’s Favorite Candidate

I am hoping…that the rest of the homeschool week can go as well.

I am creating…finished transcripts that I have for one of my clients- he REALLY gave me a lot of work to do.

I am hearing…someone messing around in the kitchen.

Around the house…laundry, straighten the downstairs, meet my typing goals.

One of my favorite things…lately, sleeping deeply at night.  I can’t believe how deeply I have been sleeping lately!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…keep Sam focused on his studies, his piano and his organ lessons.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing for you:
