Outside my Window…it’s pitch black! I am writing this in the middle of the night because I am having a hard time getting to sleep. I took a nap this afternoon – maybe that was a mistake?

I am thinking…how fast time passes. Only 10 years ago I was the mom juggling all the little kids! My kids were 9, 5, 3 and newborn! And now they are three teenagers and a ten-year-old plus two little girls. And it all happened it seems in the blink of an eye.

I am thankful … for my children. Every one of them. Even Raphael’s short life. I am grateful for all of it.

From the kitchen…I’m thinking feta chicken tomorrow?

I am creating…a stronger body! Mr. Pete and I walked Saturday and Sunday 3 and 4 miles! We got good and sweaty and I know my heart rate was up! I also made my ne St. Paul statue more interesting. I’ll post a picture later.

I am going…to clean up my great-grandma’s old kitchen cabinet. This piece is over 100 years old and I am very lucky to have it. I will post pictures of it too!

I am wearing…Black capris and a tight black exercise top. I definitely would not fit into a “week of feminine dress” carnival. But it was comfy and appropriate for our walk this morning and I just kept it on even at the beach tonight.

I am reading…a very old book on the history of Akron. It’s fascinating.

I am hoping…to Keep Sam on the right track with his summer schooling! We are going to spend time learning about Ohio this week, starting with all the major rivers.

I am hearing… Quiet except for the ringing in my ears which is pretty much almost always present these days.

Around the house…still working on that basement! This will be a summer project!

One of my favorite things…Having a little break from my transcription business.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…Celebrate Catholic grandparents day this week on the feast of St. Joachim and Anne! Also Gabe turns 13!!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing for you…

I promised Izzy I would try to take a picture of us snuggling on the beach. Trust me… this was the best I could do!
