Note to Christians

unless you pray a prayer right out of the scriptures, it doesn’t count. Candy has spoken.

I would say thank you for your prayers, but yours are empty and meaningless. The Rosary is not in the Bible, neither are any official Roman Catholic prayers.

Particularly a heartfelt “official” Catholic prayer – doesn’t cut it with God according to Candy! How about the”official” Jewish, Orthodox, Anglican and other prayers? Do those count? But if prayer only counts if it comes from the scriptures, than none of the spontaneous prayers count either?

Wow…

Candy is going to cut down a lot of prayer time with this because no one is going to know what to say? I guess just get the book of Psalms and say those.

Here’s an example of a meaningless Catholic prayer. We say this before meals.

Bless us, Oh Lord, and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty,
through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
