In the following, I list 71 things that you can do to be more successful
    Stop watching television.
Read at least 1 book a month.
Work enough to support yourself, and if needed get a new job or second job to make enough to support yourself. Never stick with a job that doesn’t pay enough to support yourself no matter how much you work.
Pay off your debts and don’t go in debt. You can pay off your debts if you avoid needless expenses, such as cable, overpriced clothes, impractical decorations, unhealthy snacks, jewelry, etcetera.
Don’t buy a car on finance, and don’t buy an expensive car if a cheaper one that works is available.
Wake up early, and get all your work done as quickly as possible. That includes household chores, as well as your employment.
                Don’t drink soda.
                  • Smile.
                  • Be polite.
                  • Keep your promises.
                    • Exercise at least 3 days per week
                      Walk often.
                        • Volunteer.
                        • Forgive, but never forget.
                        • Don’t have skeletons in your closet.
                          Listen more than you talk.
                            • Use a journal to count how many calories you consume per day.
                            • Use a journal to count how many calories you burn per day
                              • Ask people how they are often and listen to their answer.
                              • Laugh at other people’s jokes, but not your own.
                              • Shower at least once per day.
                              • Wash your hands, even if you aren’t an employee.
                                • Sit up straight.
                                • Keep your house clean.
                                • If you have either of them, keep your car and office clean.
Make a budget and follow it

Many of us are feeling the squeeze at the
supermarket these day, and all of us are
feeling it at the gas pump. The government
continues to deny inflation, but I see the
results of it in my grocery bill and my gas
                                    tank. The official
                                    USDA cost of food has
risen to $500 a month for a family of 4 on
the Thrifty Plan! As most of us tighten our
belts, we may be wondering how to juggle
expenses that only seem to rise.

Many of us have played the credit card game,
using one card to make payments on another
and then having no choice but to charge
everyday expenses like gas and food. We know
how fast a few charges can add up to an
almost insurmountable mountain of debt. We
sympathize with your situation because we’ve
                                    been there.

That’s where this site comes into play. We
are designed to help you reduce your grocery
bill as low as it can go. It won’t solve all
of your financial woes, but it may give you
some breathing room so you can make a
significant dent in your situation. We teach
you the best foods to buy on a budget and
how to cook them so the family will be
better fed than they’ve been in years.

I urge Republicans to vote for Hillary on March 4  Annotatedtags: politics

Hillary’s campaign is obviously foundering. Only a victory in the March 4 primaries can save her. More to the point, if she wins on March 4, in Ohio and Texas, it will force a brokered Democrat Convention, and this would be the thing to throw the party into turmoil. A Hillary win in Pennsylvania on April 22 will help even more. Also on March 4 is Rhode Island and Vermont.
A brokered convention is the thing that can rip the Democrat Party apart. The Obama-maniacs would lose faith, realizing that they’ve been screwed, and Republicans can benefit. Then, many of them would refuse to go to the polls in November.
You may have noted that I’ve avoided using the term “conservative” in this post, as in conservatives defeating the Democrats or conservatives winning. There is no conservative candidate left. We have a centrist Republican, a lefty female Democrat, and a socialist male Democrat. Making another choice is throwing your vote away.

California Catholic Daily – “Required by California law”  Annotatedtags: homeschool

May any parent legally homeschool children in California? Last week, a state appellate court said no. A unanimous three-judge panel ruled that California law lays down specific circumstances under which homeschooling is permitted, and not all parents meet the requirements.
“It is clear to us that enrollment and attendance in a public full time day school is required by California law for minor children unless,” said the appellate court, “(1) the child is enrolled in a private full-time day school and actually attends that private school, (2) the child is tutored by a person holding a valid state teaching credential for the grade being taught, or (3) one of the other few statutory exemptions to compulsory public school attendance (Ed. Code, § 48220 et seq.) applies to the child
The fact that the children were enrolled in an umbrella school, Sunland Christian School, is insignificant, said the court, because the mother does not have a teacher’s credential, Sunland is not a public charter school, and the Education Code does not provide for “independent study” through private schools. The fact that the parents say they homeschool for religious reasons does not excuse them from California’s compulsory education laws, said the court.
