Spread the love

Parenting a child through the death of a loved one.
When a Child Dies.
Noah witnesses a shooting.
(My neighbor is doing very well. She just received her prosthetic eye and is getting use to that. Her son is also receiving help for his mental illness. Thank you for all of the prayers!)
Received two very nice Reflection Awards.
Frisk of Reformed Theology.

I had two debates going in August which probably puts me out of the running for a Nice Blogger Award!

The Duggar’s have their 17th baby and I defended Mrs. Dugar against the ever so opinionated Rock Star mommy. See herealso here.

I also got a big slap down for my well-intentioned comments on a blogger’s family planning announcement to the internet. She backed this up with some convoluted theological theory that I still can’t quite get my head around and I was dumbfounded that not a single other Christian (out of 50 comments) called her on it? Nonetheless, it inspired a slew of blog posts and rather than linking them all here for the year end, I’ll note that they are all in their own del.icio.us file, with a final comment that the most important question to ask in ANY major life decision is “What is God’s Will?” and sometimes when you just can’t figure it out I find a “thy will be done” or even a “fine, have it your way” brings a lot of peace.

I also joined Payperpost and started blogging for money. I made nearly $300 in three months and while that was great, I also lost my Google Page Rank of 4. I just don’t see how the Izea (formerly Payperpost) folks are going go get around that so for now, I am no longer putting those posts on this blog. But while it lasted, it was fun and profitable and I really did learn a great deal while I was participating.
