Dancing with the Stars.

If there was any doubt that Dancing with the Stars is more a popularity contest than a dancing competition, last night should have settled it!

“Dancing With the Stars” finals set: Marie Osmond, Helio Castroneves, Melanie Brown; Jennie Garth eliminated – A+E Interactive: Your Bay Area hangout for gaming, music, movie

I love Marie Osmond. I really do. I think it’s great that she went out there to represent all of us 40+ women, and she has looked wonderful.

But she’s not a good dancer. She should have been eliminated weeks ago.

  1. Oh Elena, I so agree with you on Marie, she is a fun and very talented woman and I hope I look that good when I’m her age, she is just gorgeous (in my opinion) but you stand correct… she can’t dance!!

  2. I agree and think it’s indicative of a bigger pattern than just “Dancing with the Stars”. It’s this sense, by many Americans, that whoever wants somthing the most should get it. I think that was part of the deal behind Bill Clinton in 1992 election. He simply wanted the Presidency *so bad* – i.e. despite all the setbacks of women coming forward like Gennifer Flowers – that people either felt sorry for him or simply awarded it to him because he wanted it the most. I don’t know, just thinking aloud here.
