With the new/old Latin Mass around the corner, Mr. Pete and I need to learn church Latin and teach the kids. I thought learning to say the rosary in latin might be a good first step.
The Prayers of the Rosary in Latin is just the ticket because it offers the spelling with the pronunciations. It has two speeds to “what did he say?” and slow!

Ukok has a lovely inspirational e-card site! I particularly liked this picture. She has many, many other options here.

The HSLDA high school blog talks about the transition year between high school and college. I would never have been interested in that for me, but it might be a good option for other young adults. There’s no law that says you have to go right from high school to college.

If your child is not ready to go directly from high school into
college,
use this gap or transition year to help him grow. Taking a year
off
may be beneficial as he takes the time to work, gain experience, or
spiritually mature.

Why Smart People Make Big Money Mistakes is reviewed at Get Rich Slowly.

One money mistake that often affects me is the sunk cost fallacy. All that stuff
I’m trying to get out of my life
is nothing more than a
manifestation of this: I know how much money I’ve spent for the things I own,
and so am reluctant to let them go. What I have failed to realize is that it’s
not what these things were worth to me in the past that’s important, but how
much they’re worth to me now. If I do not value them, and they’re just taking up
space, then they’re better off out of the house.
