I apologize for the light fare of last week. Between the new homeschool year, soccer, cross country, the housework, the transcription and everything else, it’s just been hard to find the time that I want to put into the blog. I suspect things will get better soon.


Also, I really didn’t expect to have to be so active on the Visits to Candyland blog. I was kind of hoping that blog had served its purpose and could go on permanent hiatus. But there was a need to revive it. With more bloggers on deck (writing some really great stuff too!) I feel a bit of that burden has lifted.


My sister was over tonight teasing me about my sponsored posts. Yea… I know. I do try to pick opportunities that I am genuinely interested in and that I think might be helpful to other folks who read this blog. You wouldn’t believe some of the sponsors I pass up!


The thing is, it’s feast or famine with the ads in my side bar and I have little control over what folks click on. But with the advertised gigs I can use a little creativity to make the post my own, and I can control the amount of income that I make through the blog for doing it. It’s almost a surer thing than e-Bay where not everything sells, and it is definitely more lucrative than my other affiliations. But not to worry; I just want to cover piano lessons every month for my kids with maybe a bit left over for books and other school supplies. Once I meet that monthly goal I can rest a bit. I am just trusting that you guys understand. Thanks.
