Summer sisters

Well, I’m back. Had a great time. Only gone four full days. Just enough to relax and be glad I was on vacation. Not enough time to really be adjusted to being away from home. Saw lots of family and a few friends. Watched my kids play with distant cousins, making memories they will always remember. Left my “legally adult” son home to watch over the homestead. Listened to the entire Harry Potter book.

So I’m back and working but I think I’ll stick with my bloggy break until this weekend. It’s been nice to just read and lurk without really participating in the blogosphere.

Tomorrow is my 28th wedding anniversary. I absolutely cannot believe it. Sam mentioned that I have been married for most of my life and it’s true. Most of my life has been with Mr. Pete. I can vaguely remember what it was like before him. Strange.

I hope to have the 2nd part of Mr. Pete’s post up this weekend as well. For now though, I’m just enjoying these last hot, humid days of August before they are gone.
