The Curt Jester had this wonderful bit about Cardinal Pell!
“A Catholic is someone who believes Christ is Son of God, accepts His teachings and lives a life of worship, service and duty in the Catholic community,” he explained. “Catholics are not created by the accident of birth to remain only because their tribe has an interesting history.”
“All Catholics who continue to reject important Catholic teachings, even in areas such as sexuality, family, marriage, abortion, euthanasia, cloning where “liberals” claim the primacy of conscience rules, should expect to be confronted, gently and consistently, rather than comforted and encouraged in their wrongdoing,” he continued.
Amen!
Steve Killmeyer had this unfortunate essay by Ann Coulter.
In Samuel P. Huntington’s book “Who Are We: The Challenges to America’s National Identity,” he asks: “Would America be the America it is today if in the 17th and 18th centuries it had been settled not by British Protestants but by French, Spanish or Portuguese Catholics? The answer is no. It would not be America; it would be Quebec, Mexico or Brazil.”
I don’t want to live in Mexico, Quebec or Brazil. But now I guess I have no choice, since “open borders” means I can never leave.
He gives a fascinating history of the assault on Catholic and Catholicism in our country.

This was interesting: Previous oral contraceptive use may raise gestational diabetes risk
“We found evidence suggesting that use of hormonal contraceptives with a highly androgenic progestin was associated with a 43% increased risk of gestational diabetes,” Dr. Hedderson said. On the other hand, she added, “use of hormonal contraceptives with a low androgenic progestin was associated with a 16% decreased risk of gestational diabetes.” HT Alicia
