Spread the love

My sister-in-law Helen died at age 45 back in 1999. At the gathering in her home after the funeral and burial, there were many photo albums around the house so that we could look, remember and socialize. One thing that really stuck out in mymind were all the pictures of Helen holding a dish of something she had just prepared in the kitchen. It seems there were a lot of nice looking pies and pastry items, but there were some casseroles and maybe a nice roast or two also. The pictures were usually of her holding her creation with a beautiful grin. I loved that.

I don’t have so many pictures of me doing the same thing and maybe I should. However, I do try to take pictures of all of our memorable cakes, particularly the ones the kids make. With that in mind, I found this interesting site and article on how to shoot food pictures so that they look their best. Some good tips in there, even for those of us with not quite so to-of-the-line cameras!
