If you look carefully you can see Izzy and Sam waiting in line to see Bishop Lennon as he visited our parish on Saturday. The bishop seemed like a delightful man. Our pastor said that he answered the invitation to come to our church within 48 hours! I thought that was pretty neat. He celebrated mass and then attended this small reception afterwards. I got a chance to introduce him to four of my six children, but he was particularly taken with Izzy and got right down on her level to talk to her. He thought it was quite something for her to have so many older brothers. The Bishop’s assistant, a nice deacon, was off to the side holding a cup of Diet Coke off to the side. It seems that Bishop Lenon gets dry after meeting so many people and his beverage of choice is Diet Coke! Mine too!
