Spread the love

When we first started homeschooling, we were members of the Homeschool Legal Defense Association. We had experienced being on the defendent end of a frivolous lawsuit before (in which we prevailed) and knew how expensive mounting a legal defense could be. I thought it was prudent then to become members.

When my husband started his own business though, pennies were tight and I just did not think I could spare the membership money when I needed books and curriculum for my children’s education. So I let our membership lapse.

I started thinking about it again. It felt like going without that HSLDA protection was like driving without insurance – a little risky and dangerous! I decided to chek HSLDA out on their web site. I was pleased to see that they have made some wonderful updates since we were last members. First of all, you can now apply on line. Secondly, they allow you to break down the membership into small monthly payments – definitely more manageable.

If you haven’t checked HSLDA out check it out. Their site is pretty informative too!
