I finally got to see this movie based on the book!

Ladies, if you think your life is bad, Mrs. Ryan’s was worse!! An alcoholic husband, always in debt, and a big household with ten kids to manage! But this lady did it with style and class using the gifts God gave her. I kept thinking throughout the movie that her husband even with all his problems, was a better man because he knew her and in the end he pulled through even as a provider. She never gave up on him even when he made it nearly impossible to do so.

Of note, her kids went on to do some pretty neat things too, like getting drafted by the Detroit Tigers, and two of them graduated as Valedictorian of their high school class. There were several teachers, a nurse and now, of course, an author in the mix!

I think this is the kind of movie I need to pop in the DVD when I’m having a bad day and think, “how would Mrs. Ryan cope with this?” A great flick.

I highly recommend the book too!
