Now a little dental advice from someone who has been there, done that. If you find that you have a bad tooth and your dentist advises a root canal, Don’t do it! The price of the root canal and the crown is a couple of thousand dollars. For just a few hundred or so more, you can get a permanent dental prosthesis that will outlast you! The root canaled tooth may only last 20-30 years and it can still get decay under the crown and need to be yanked anyway. There is also some controversy that a root canaled tooth may have sealed in the bacteria and cause further problems. I read that it may even be linked to miscarriage and stillbirth, which is another reason I got my bad tooth yanked even though I had invested in the root canal before I lost Raphael!

Overall I just think the implanted dental prosthesis is the way to go!
