I’ve seen uncomfirmed reports that the pope has died, but nothing official yet.

This is the way I remember the pope.   It’s hard to believe but when John Paul II came on the scene he was considered youthful, energetic, athletic.   He was a breath of fresh air because of his youthful vigor.   My kids will never remember him that way, but I will remember him that way fondly, as well as the man/father he has become to me and the dignity he has shown throughout.
