I married a good guy!

Spread the love

Throughout our lives as reproducing parents, Mr. Pete I believe has seen more frontline, baby delivery action than most. He was present at the C-section delivery of our first born – saw my uterus outside of my body and watched the surgeon snip off a small fibroid! He did everything possible to make sure our next three were all natural VBACs, including driving hours once a month or more to visit our willing caregivers – none of whom lived in our county!

With our last attempted homebirth, he ran the interference at the hospital while I was under anesthetic and argued with doctors who wanted to give our baby the Hepatitis vaccine immediately, afterall, he didn’t REALLY know what his wife did all day did he? (yea, right)

and, he delivered our stillborn right into his own hands at home. So, I’d say Mr. Pete is a veteran birthing dad!

Now he has to be up for a new challenge. My doctor has ordered progesterone injections administered twice a week into the ole gluteal muscle – and guess who gets to do the honors! And Mr. Pete didn’t even blink. I love that guy!
