There is a God…

and He apparently wants me to subscribe to Murphy’s Law!!

My first soccer game today, my 6-year-old falls and sprains his hand. And get this folks – this was during the stretch!!! He lost his balance fell backward and bent his hand funny. I spent the game in the rain holding my sobbing soccer man as I watched his team go down to defeate 1 to 6. O.K., it’s just DD. His hand isn’t broken but it sure is tender and swollen but with ice and some children’s Advil he seems almost back to normal.

So moving on…

I haven’t washed Sam’s soccer uniform all week. I should have, but I didn’t. Today is wet and muddy so I almost didn’t again but the mom in me thought I had enough time… why not. So it’s washed and in the dryer and when I went to pull it out of the dryer – it was still washed but not dry!! Grrrrr My dryer isn’t drying!!!! Pete is 30 minutes away at our oldest son’s game so he’s no help.

That tingly feeling on my scalp is back!!! I just go to the mirror and watch the white hairs sprout when that happens.

Luckily my mom was here and she dashed (well, dashing for her) back to her place with the wet uniform that will hopefully will be merely moist in 30 minutes when I need to leave.

Did I mention tomorrow is Gabe’s first communion and we have 30 people coming over? : )
