Some ideas for May

Spread the love

Here are some concrete things to do for the month of May:

Found this list on Dappled Things and loved it!

Say the rosary each day, or at least more frequently than you already do. Perhaps offer it as a family. May I suggest Amy Welborn’s Rosary book for this! IT is very well done and helps me quite a bit
Wear the brown scapular of Mt Carmel this month, even if you’re not enrolled in it yet.
Keep a vase of fresh flowers before the main image of the Virgin Mary in your home.
I have a lovely silk arrangement that I put around my Mary statue on the table. The cat doesn’t mess with it and I don’t have to worry about children spilling water from a vase
Wear a Marian medal, such as the miraculous medal, each day this month. ALWAYS!!
Make a point to hear Mass each Saturday morning in honor of the Virgin.
Make a little Marian altar in your home and keep it decorated throughout the month. I’ll post an image of mine later today
Buy a small statue of the Virgin and make an outdoor shrine in your yard. Plant marigolds and other flowers around it. I got mine for mother’s day a few years back. It greets all of our backdoor visitors!
Make a novena to the Blessed Virgin this month, perhaps offering it for a special intention that’s been on your mind lately. Great Idea!
