Our sore throat adventure started last August. The billing for those office visits took me by surprise here

and I blogged about it some more here.

The monthly bill to the hospital for the lab fees is going on to my credit card, but I did send a $53.00 payment to the doctor last month. That was about 1/4 of my bill with her. Yesterday, I got the bill. Her powers that be charged me $12.50 per kid as an Administrative Fee! Essentially that meant that about half the money I sent her last month went to this office fee and I only paid the bill down by 1/8! I’m tempted to put this on one of my credit cards too – the rates are lower!

In exasperation I called the extortionist office manager and she said if I can pay the rest off before the end of the month she’ll drop all of the administrative fees. What a doll.
