Weather is pleasant and not so unbearably hot!

I am thinking…

We had a great time at the family reunion!

the great family I married in to almost 34 years ago.

From the learning rooms…

• Gabe and Noah are starting “As I Lay Dying” by Faulkner.
  
  

  We are sort of in semi-vacation mode this week.  Concentrating mainly on math for Noah and reading and math for the girls. Gabe successfully completed his government class and now we are waiting for his grade.

I am creating…
hopefully a sale of property that will close by the end of the month!  Just as I was putting it all in God’s hands, some big progress was made!  The deed to one property that we didn’t have finally became official and was sent to the house AND the surveyor was in to survey.  So I’m interested to see if my cousin will close his sale tomorrow or not.  Still putting it God’s hands. 

I am going…

• walk every day
• Get in a strength and cardio video at least three times.
• Start organizing the soccer league I inherited.
• Start organizing the support group.
• finish straightening up my office.
• prepare my notification for homeschooling next year. 

I am reading…

This is a fascinating book. It starts out with the Old Testament way of education, through Christ’s commandments and the early church – and how none of it mandated the creation of schools to teach children!   It’s really giving me a new way to look at education in general, and Catholic schools in particular.

I am wondering…
how I am going to manage two kids on two different cross country teams, and managing a soccer league! Gabe is also preparing to move and I wonder how that is going to work out too. 

I am Hoping…

• That I can make a big announcement here by the end of the week!  
• that I have the strength to manage a homeschool group and a soccer league. 
• that Gabe makes good choices going forward.
• that the property I am selling from my father’s estate sells. 
• that I can endure all of the things I am called to endure – through Christ who strengthens me. 

I am Looking Forward To…

the buzz in my left ear, the air conditioner and the computer – all white noise!
